DSE閱讀批判性思維核心要求
Paper 1 B2部分特別考distinguish views、evaluate attitudes、interpret tone。常見題型包括：
- What is the writer’s attitude towards…?
- The writer uses the phrase “…” to suggest that…
- Why does the writer mention… (purpose)
這些題目答案不在表面，需結合context、word choice和rhetorical devices推斷。家長角色是「討論教練」：不直接給答案，而是用問題引導孩子自己分析。
家長可立即用的5大批判性思維技巧
技巧1：辨識Writer’s Attitude與Tone 先掃描情感形容詞、比喻和adverbials（如surprisingly, unfortunately）。正面tone常用admiring、optimistic；負面用critical、skeptical。
日常例子：文章寫「This so-called ‘innovation’ has only created more problems.」 家長問：「作者用so-called暗示什麼？是支持還是嘲諷？」
練習模板：找出3個attitude words，解釋如何顯示writer feeling。
技巧2：Inferencing隱含意思
不要只抄原文，要問「What does this imply?」
技巧3：分析Writer Purpose與Rhetorical Devices 問「Why does the writer include this example/quote/statistic?」目的通常是persuade、warn、illustrate。 常見devices：metaphor（e.g. “flood of information”暗示overwhelm）、rhetorical question。 家長討論短語：「這段purpose是highlight problem還是offer solution？」
技巧4：評估Arguments強弱 訓練孩子問：Evidence夠嗎？有bias嗎？Counter-argument呢？ 家長引導問題清單（列印貼牆）：
- Does the writer support or challenge this view?
- What assumptions does the writer make?
- Is the tone consistent throughout the text?

- 孩子先skimming抓gist（3分鐘）。
- 家長問2-3個批判問題，孩子口頭解釋+highlight evidence。
- 5分鐘對比HKEAA marking scheme，討論為何答案不夠deep。
- 孩子重寫答案，用更precise attitude words。
第1週練attitude，第2週加purpose。連續3週，學生普遍從Level 3升4-5。
